It was July 19, 2018, at Nationals Park in Washington D.C, where dreams became real. The two brothers, Caleb and Corban Joseph had not played with each other since being high school teammates in 2005 (taking away one week in 2016 where they played at AAA Norfolk.)
Yesterday, the Joseph brothers got to be teammates in a Major League game! Cal Ripken, Jr and Billy Ripken are the only other siblings as teammates in Orioles history.
Both Corban and Caleb had doubts that they would get the chance to play together. Corban told The Baltimore Sun, "...It’s almost like a once in a million opportunity … and we’re here now to appreciate it.”
Caleb told reporters that all of their family back home in Tennessee is super excited and proud of the brothers.
Could you imagine how cool it must be to play a professional sport with your sibling? I am so happy for Caleb and Corban that their dreams came into a reality!
Thank you for reading this post! Now that school is over, I will be posting about the Birds a lot more, so please stay tuned! Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! GO ORIOLES!!
