A Week Away!

It's finally here - almost! After a long winter and spring training, the Birds are about to be back! In exactly a week, the Orioles will begin the 2018 season at Camden Yards. The O's are hosting the Twins on Opening Day! We still don't know who the starting pitchers for the game will be; hopefully that information will come out soon!

More exciting news has come out about the Orioles over the last couple of days! The Orioles just signed starting pitcher Alex Cobb to a four-year deal. He's an amazing pitcher that has come from the Tampa Bay Rays, who are also in the American League East. In 2017, Cobb had 128 strikeouts in his 29 starts. Since 2011, he has had 48 starts against the AL East. I can't wait to see Alex Cobb pitch for the Orioles!

Something else that's very exciting is, former second baseman, Brain Roberts is now in the Orioles Hall-of-Fame! Roberts played 13 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles and one season with the New York Yankees. Roberts played in the Major Leagues from 2001-2014. While he played in the Major Leagues, he had 5,531 at-bats, 97 home runs, 542 RBI's, and had a .276 batting average. Roberts is now a part of the Orioles radio broadcast team. Congratulations Brian!
