2018 Orioles Fanfest!!

Today, I went to 2018 Orioles Fan Fest and I had a blast! I went with my friend from my softball team, Jules. She is also a huge Orioles fan like me. Fan Fest was at the Baltimore Convention Center, which is right near Camden Yards. Here is my day!!

When we first got there, I went to get an autograph from Mark Trumbo, Richard Bleier, and Alec Asher. My mom bought me an autograph voucher, so Mark could sign the broken bat he gave me in spring training. All three of the players are really nice.

Next, I went to get some giveaways. I got a Manny Machado garden gnome, a Manny Machado starting lineup figure, a wiffle ball and bat, an Orioles tooth brush holder, and an Orioles magazine. I love all of the things I got!!

After that, my family, friends, and I went to the band concert at the main stage. We saw a band called "Skies in Chaos." Later, Mark Trumbo started playing the guitar and Caleb Joesph played the drums. They were really good at playing, I even knew some of the songs, like "Wagon Wheel."

Later, we walked around some of the booths. My mom, sister, dad, and I went to the MASN booth to try to win some awesome prizes. I got a lanyard and an Adam Jones poster. My sister got a tumbler that was so cute. It said, 'Good Bye. Home run." She also got an Adam Jones poster. My mom got the same thing as my sister, but my dad got a keychain and an Adam Jones poster.

Throughout the day, we took lots of pictures and we even saw Kristen Hudak, the Orioles director of public relations! I went to the Kids Press Conference where Tim Beckham and Adam Jones were answering questions. Oh by the way, happy birthday Tim! Everyone sang him happy birthday at the press conference. I went up to ask the players a question. I asked, "Who was your favorite player growing up?" Adam answered, Tony Gwynn, a Padres Hall-of-Famer. Tim answered, Ken Griffey, Jr, the Hall-of-Famer who played for the Mariners. It was really fun that the kids could ask some questions!

During the day, I saw this couple that had these really nice jerseys that say "TOGETHER SINCE 1999." Also, my dad told me some big news, Buck Showlater announced today that, Manny is going to be playing short stop and Tim Beckham will be playing 3rd!! I bet Manny is very happy, because short stop is his favorite position.

After the press conference, my family and I were really hungry, so we decided to leave and go to Iron Rooster, I got some delicious pancakes with strawberries. Then for dessert, we got a cinnamon and sugar pop tart, it was home made and super tasty.

I am so lucky that I got to go to fan fest! It was such a blast and I can't wait to go again next year!! Thanks so much for reading this post.
