Oriole Park at Camden Yards has been an amazing Major League Baseball park for 25 years! In these 25 years there have been many memories that have been made. Some really awesome things have happened. Here are some cool facts about Camden Yards.
1. Ken Griffey jr. hit the warehouse during the 1993 Home Run Derby. He is the only one that has hit the warehouse to this day.
2. The first game at Camden Yards was on April 6, 1992
3. Camden Yards was a top 10 finalist for Reader's Digest Nicest Place in America 2017. It was the only baseball stadium to be a finalist.
4. On September 6, 1995 Cal Ripken, jr. broke Lou Gehrig's consecutive game streak with 2,131. The streak ended with 2,632.

5. Tim Beckham hit the Orioles 10,000th regular season home run at Camden Yards earlier this month
6. Tim also hit the Camden Yards 2,500th home run earlier this month.
Those are just some of the cool facts about Camden Yards!
The Orioles have been celebrating the anniversary with fun events and giveaways.
Friday (8/18) was fireworks night, featuring music from 1992. I was able to attend the game and I really loved the fireworks show! ICYMI - Enjoy some of the awesome fireworks celebration.
Also, all fans received a 25th anniversary poster. It was pretty cool!

On the 19th (Saturday) the Orioles gave away mini replicas of Camden Yards.

Today the Orioles had a Cardboard to Leather collection. Fans were encouraged to bring new or lightly used baseball and/or softball equipment.

Camden Yards has been an awesome ballpark for 25 years. It's "the ballpark that forever changed baseball!"
