During the days of August 25th-August 27th, all Major League Baseball players will be wearing a new type of uniforms and a different name on the back of their jerseys, which might look like what they wore when they played in Little League.
This weekend in August will be called "Players Weekend." This was announced today by MLB and MLBPA.
During the "Players Weekend" all Major League Baseball players will be wearing Little League inspired uniforms. Also, each player gets to pick a nickname for the back of their jersey as well as using "uniquely colorful spikes, batting gloves, wristbands, compression sleeves, catcher's masks, and bats." according to Major League Baseball.
The Orioles put out a picture of each players uniform and what their nickname will be. Manny Machado will be "Mr. Miami" in honor of his hometown. Welington Castillo will be "BEEF" while Adam Jones is going with "Pappo."

One really awesome thing about the jersey is a patch the players will wear on their sleeve. It says on top "THANK YOU" along with a blank space below for the player to write in the name of someone who helped the player get to where he is today.
Thanks so much for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
