An Inspiring Catcher!

The Orioles have started a new campaign called 'Have a Catch'. This campaign is a program to encourage children and all fans to go outside and enjoy a game of catch. I think this is a great program to teach children and fans to get off their phones, tablets, computers, etc and go outside and play catch.

Today, the Orioles invited 14-year old Luke Terry, a catcher, from Cornersville, Tennessee who had his right arm amputated as an infant. Luke has inspired many people to work hard and persevere.

The Oriole Bird was at the airport when Luke arrived! When Luke got to Camden Yards the Orioles had a #42 jersey and catchers gear for him. Catcher's Wellington Castillo and Caleb Joseph taught Luke more about catching too!

While I was watching O's Xtra on MASN today, Caleb Joseph said something like Luke has taught them more than the Orioles have taught him. What a great kid and catcher!

Thanks so much for reading my post! I will post more and more! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Make sure to comment who you want to be the next Player of the Week!
