Yesterday, I went to the Maryland Women's softball game against Penn State. I had a great time! The stadium is great and really cute!

I play softball so it was fun seeing the college players play. I went with my friend Grace, who also plays softball.

When we arrived at the park, a man who is an intern for the Maryland Terps, asked us if we wanted to be junior announcers for the bottom of the 5th inning. We said yes! During the game before the bottom of the 5th we went to sit at the bleachers. The pitchers throw so fast! The Terps were winning 4-0! Penn State had 4 errors.
Then the man took us to the press box. We saw the announcer, the public relations director for the Terps, the BIG 10 Network announcer, and people tweeting about the game. Grace and I practiced saying the players names and announcing them. Then it was time to announce! I said "Now batting number 12, Hannah Dewey." Grace said, "Now batting number 8, Kristina Dillard." I said, "Now batting number 26, Jordan Aughinbaugh." The 5th inning was over.

We then got some food. The snow cones were really good! In softball they only play 7 innings. The Terps lost 7-5 but we had a great time at the game! Then Grace and I stood above the Terps dugout to get some autographs from the players. I got a lot. Then I took a picture with Jordan Aughinbaugh and Kassidy Cross.

The players are so nice! They all said "thanks for coming!" When Grace, my dad, and I were walking to the car, we saw a Penn State player, Jessica Cummings, the closer. She is actually from Owings, Maryland.

She told us about a 5 star camp for softball near my house! It sounded really fun!

I had a great time at the Maryland Softball Game! Even though they lost, I had a blast! You should go to their games! They are free and fun! You could be a junior announcer! Thanks so much for reading this post! Make sure to check back for more posts soon! Have a marvelous Monday!
