'Everyday is Different' - talking with Orioles reporter Brittany Ghiroli

During my time at spring training, I met MLB.com Orioles reporter Brittany Ghiroli. She is the MLB Network and CBS radio correspondent. Brittany is really nice, inspiring, and is a hard worker. I got the chance to interview Brittany and I asked her about her job, the Orioles, and everything like that!

Brittany covers the team every day. "Everywhere the Orioles go, I go," Brittany told me. "Every day is different," Brittany said. I think Brittany's job is really cool because she gets to work with the Orioles pretty much every day. She interviews players, coaches, goes to press conferences, and gets to report on the Orioles games and practices. That sounds really fun!

I asked Brittany who her favorite player is? Brittany said "my favorite player is probably Zach Britton. He is very nice. If you get the chance to meet him. He talks a lot, which is good for us. He is a very very nice guy,"

My dad and I asked Brittany, what advice does Brittany have for people like me who want to do this for a living? Brittany said, "don't let people tell you that you can't do it first of all. A lot of people - probably if you are a female - are not sure if you know anything about baseball. But, lots of the time, we know more about baseball than the boys do. So, don't let anyone tell you no and then work hard and get lots of internships because thats how this whole thing started. Is I was an intern. So, start at the bottom and work your way to the top."
